The Nationalities and Borders Bill (2021)

Thanks to our friends at Together with Refugees for providing us with some resources this week:

The report stage of the Nationality and Borders Bill is expected on the 7th or 8th of December. It is important that we keep writing to our MPs to invite them to meet with us, take action or make a public statement in response to the loss of lives in the Channel these last weeks.

Resources for MP activity:

  • Guidance - you can find guidance for engaging with your MP about the Nationality and Borders Bill here.

  • Template media release - we have also created a template media release you can use for these calls on your MP that can be adapted depending on the detail of your plans.

  • Social media posts - please find some suggested social media posts here to highlight your call to your local MP. Please do use orange hearts (the symbol of the TWN movement) and tag @ChrLeft as well as #TogetherWithRefugees so we can see your posts.
