Support the Effort Against Tax Avoidance!

At Christians on the Left, we believe that paying tax is not a burden but a social responsibility. It is not acceptable that some large corporations and wealthy individuals are able to avoid paying their fair share. We therefore call on the government to fund HMRC properly and create a specific business unit to tackle corporate tax evasion. Please add your name to our campaign against tax avoidance and evasion.

Tax avoidance always penalises the poor, and creates poverty. Selfishness by those who have the means and the access to mechanisms which avoid tax results in underinvestment in wealth creation. This in turn means that poverty is not alleviated. We all suffer as a result.

the tax avoiders greed and selfishness threaten our whole society – their grand children will suffer along with mine when our social stability crumbles

A great campaign – Patriots do indeed pay tax. If only some of the multi-national companies avoiding tax would realise that being multi-national means that they have more responsibilities, not less.

I’m proud to pay my taxes because I see it as an investment in education for our children and in healthcare from which we all benefit.
