Office Volunteer London

Christians on the Left is looking to recruit an office volunteer to gain experience and help with day-to-day tasks over the coming months.

The successful applicant will gain first hand experience in an ever-changing work environment and undertake a variety of tasks to support the CotL team. This role would be ideally suited to a student or recent graduate. The successful applicant will gain an insight into the functioning of a political organisation which may include the production of materials for campaigns, events, social media and conferences, the function and organisation of election and/or thematic campaigns, the management and organisation of volunteers and much more. The successful candidate will also gain experience of working in a busy environment, with numerous deadlines and fast changing priorities. This position will provide an excellent opportunity for candidates to enhance their CVs and attain a varied and valuable political office based experience.


The range of tasks to be undertaken will vary; they may include, but not be limited to:

-Editing content sent by members for the website and social media

-Production of campaign materials

-Research into campaign/policy areas

-Website administration

-Creating Member Emails, Newsletters and articles for publication

-Social Media Management

-Other tasks to support the work of the office team and executive committee


As such the ideal candidate will:

-Have excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Be self motivated

-Have excellent attention to detail

-Be IT Literate


Please note this post is voluntary and as such there are no set start or end dates or times, however an ideal starting period would be post-conference in early October.
